Caracterización de usos del recurso hídrico en el Sistema de Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia

Abstract

The development of this project is based on the Characterization made in the “Sistema de Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia” to evaluate the use and exploitation of water resources within their protected areas, taking into account geographical, environmental and socioeconomic variables capable of analyzing both the characteristics of users benefit from the resource, such as the properties of water catchment system. Analysis and processing of the collected data is performed using the statistical technique known as Multiple Correspondence Analysis, applying data cleaning process that allows perform statistical modeling with appropriate information to achieve the objectives expected; the results reveal that currently a significant number of points of use of this resource are not legalized, with catchment structures defined on vital ecosystems for the regions concerned.
