Simbiosis 1.0 Composición Para Bandola Andina Colombiana y Entidades Sónicas

Abstract

Symbiosis 1.0 Symbiosis 1.0 is a composition for Colombian Andean Bandola and Sonic Entities, with the possibility of making use of other instruments thanks to the flexibility of the programmed system, where some concepts and techniques of artificial intelligence, evolutionary computation and bio-inspired strategies are applied, that is to say programming mechanisms based on the processes of evolution and biological selection. The present project aims to extrapolate the concept symbiosis in a musical composition, in order to explore the relationships that can arise between a human interpreter and the machine, in this case a population of autonomic sonic entities, in which there is a programming that facilitates autonomy, indeterminacy, decision making and processes, that allows the evolution, hybridization and mutation of sound material. This symbiotic relationship is determined, controlled and / or addressed by a real-time director / interpreter by means of a control mechanism. Finally, reflections on the relationship between the human being and the machine in a sound ecosystem are discussed, debating the contribution that artificial creativity can have both to the composer and to the interpreter.
