Estado del arte del reforzamiento de muros de mampostería no estructurales con el uso de polímeros reforzados con fibras

Abstract

During the last decades in the country, a series of concerns have been unleashed in relation to the need to create or implement new reinforcement techniques in structures that improve the initial conditions with which they were built and that prolong their useful life. meet the requirements established in the Colombian Seismic Construction Regulations NSR-10. Under this premise, this degree project aims to expose the state of the art of the use of fiber reinforced polymers for the reinforcement of walls in non-reinforced masonry. For what it is tried by means of the compilation of bibliographical investigations, to approach and to present aspects of the nonstructural walls such as its mechanical behavior, types of failure, continues with the presentation of Reinforced Polymers with fibers, mechanical properties of the materials, advantages, limitations, its application in the reinforcement of non-structural walls with fiber-reinforced polymers, design methods, costs of reinforcement methods with PRF, additionally, a reference to the ACI 440 7R-10 standard is made, and finally with the concepts issued by the Association of Seismic Engineering, that allow the reader to know more in depth this method of reinforcement.
