| dc.description | In this article are presented a review-conceptual reflection about linguistic geography, geolinguistics and sociolinguistics, they current developments and prospects of the Geolinguistics as an interesting field of research that can seize opportunities and potential uses of GIS tools in Colombia. | dc.description | Se hace una revisión-reflexión conceptual en torno a la geografía lingüística, la geolingüística y la sociolingüística, sus desarrollos actuales y las perspectivas de la geolingüística como un interesante campo de investigación que puede aprovechar oportunidades y usos potenciales de las herramientas SIG en Colombia. La información analizada se discrimina asi: de un lado estudios de Europa, Estados Unidos y Asia; y del otro los trabajos hallados a nivel de Latinoamerica y Colombia. Se distinguen estudios de tipo teórico, dialectal, descriptivo y geolinguísticos. En Colombia,se encuentran trabajos lingüísticos con alguna aproximación espacial, en los que se advierte un potencial uso de las herramientas SIG para analizar, procesar, generar y disponer informacion. | es-ES |
