Estrategias de armonización de la estructura urbana con el Humedal Capellanía de la localidad de Fontibón

Abstract

The worldwide growth population has caused the unplanned expansion of urban areas, a fact that implies the development of housing infrastructure and services that guarantee the satisfaction of the needs of its inhabitants, being this, one of the main causes of deterioration of urban-natural systems. Particularly in Bogotá city, this phenomenon has been systematically affecting wetland ecosystems, whose natural dynamics have been compromised by the considerable decrease in their areas, due in large part to the construction of houses and infrastructure in their surroundings. Such is the case of the Capellanía Wetland, located in the locality of Fontibón, west of the city of Bogotá, wich is part of the Main Ecological Structure of the city and has been designated a RAMSAR Site, where is imperative the formulation of harmonization strategies that promote for the balanced interaction between the environmental and urban structure, focused mainly on the implementation of actions in environmental-social, environmental-economic, environmental-cultural and environmental-political relations.
