Resumen
Taking into account the implications of COVID - 19 on the ecotourism activities of the Chingaza National Natural Park, the consequences on the dynamics of the Protected Area have been identified and through this document, strategies have been formulated to allow the restoration of ecotourism in the towns of Fómeque, Junín, La Calera and Guasca. Based on the review and compilation of information, the socio-ecological system, the ecotourism actors and the ecotourism planning processes in local development were characterized; subsequently, surveys were conducted with visitors, tourism service operators and the local community, determining the effects of the pandemic on ecotourism, the main effect was the cessation of activities and detecting that there is a great potential with the gradual reopening of the Chingaza National Park. Finally, strategies focused on the vision of the "One Planet Sustainable Tourism" program of the World Tourism Organization - WTO were formulated; based on this vision, three lines of action were considered, thus proposing strategies for the recovery of ecotourism aimed at promoting a sense of ownership of ecotourism, reducing pressure on the natural environment due to ecotourism activities and recovering the focus on community ecotourism, with the intention of consolidating ecotourism as an engine that enables local development in the study area.
