Resumen
This report details the work carried out during an internship at High Watts S.A.S., an electrical company with over 20 years of operation in the country. During the internship, significant deficiencies were identified in its electrical installations, attributable to both their age and a lack of maintenance. Throughout its history, the company has not updated its electrical infrastructure, placing it in non-compliance with current regulations established in the Technical Regulation for Electrical Installations (RETIE). This situation represents a considerable risk of electrical failures, workplace accidents, or regulatory sanctions. Currently, the company has reported circuit overloads, electrical panel failures, and equipment damage due to voltage fluctuations. Exposed wiring, faulty switches and outlets, inadequate protection, and poor load distribution have been identified, increasing the likelihood of fires and production failures. Additionally, the electrical system has not been sized to support the company's growth and the addition of new machinery, compromising its future operability. This problem is recurrent in various industrial micro-enterprises at both the local and national levels
