Resumen
This document is the result of the research process in the form of research internship, generated as part of the creation of the Master of peace in the University Francisco José de Caldas. The purpose of this is to contribute to the construction of educational initiatives for peace in Colombia from the study of the context of the themes of conflict, post-conflict and experiences of educational for peace in two Center-America countries (El Salvador and Guatemala), which they conducted negotiation processes between the main actors in the conflict to move towards states of non-violence, this with the aim of generating relevant contributions in the process of creating the program Master of peace of the University Francisco José de Caldas. The education for peace in the countries of Center-America, seen from the experiences implemented by institutions both governmental and non-governmental, such as government programs and plans; concur in the development and implementation of proposals or recommendations, that contribute to the creation of initiatives relating to the field of education for peace, understood as one of the fundamental elements for the consolidation of a state based on the culture of peace. The conclusions and recommendations obtained in the research, are the result of comparative analysis of the experiences of education for peace in El Salvador and Guatemala, also are motivated by the possible transition to a post-conflict context in Colombia.
