Resumen
The main objective of this research is to analyze the mediation of virtual social networks on the construction of the identity of adolescents and young people between 15 and 24 years old through a meta-synthesis, which incorporates reflections on human development. The methodology used was the qualitative approach of bibliographic design, specifically metasynthesis, from which was collected, analyzed and reflected on the findings of eight selected research works. The investigation made it possible to reflect on the fact that the construction of identity in the stages of development of adolescence and youth is impacted by active participation in social networks, since at the moment of publishing information, with an eximo character, the gaze of others in acts of feedback is transformed into recognition and approval of the perception you have of yourself. A field exercise is proposed to broaden and generate a broader and more comprehensive reflection of the phenomenon of social networks and identity construction.
