The analysis pursues a position to develop guided theoretical tools in the processes of decolonization of the literary interpretation and of knowledge, whose value transcend the particular and the stereotyping of the “Afro”. It also tries to make a reading that compares different historical and theoretical positions, allowing a dialogue with the poetic production of Preciado, in his negotiation and understanding of the literary exercise.Este artículo indaga las tensiones entre la obra del poeta ecuatoriano Antonio Preciado, frente a ciertas categorizaciones en el análisis y la producción literaria de los hijos de la diáspora.  El análisis persigue un posicionamiento para desarrollar herramientas teóricas orientadas en los procesos de descolonización de la interpretación literaria y de los saberes, cuyo valor trasciende lo particular y la estereotipación sobre lo “Afro”.
