Además, explica las tensiones implícitas en la dicotomía nativa y no nativa, y las implicaciones que la supremacía dada al uso del hablante nativo podría traer cuando está inmersa en materiales para la enseñanza de la lengua. Por lo tanto, los resultados de este estudio se toman de un método de Análisis del Discurso Crítico en el cual los textos de inglés y otros tipos de texto tales como referencias teóricas y los medios dialogaron para mostrar las implicaciones ideológicas de este fenómeno y su influencia en la forma en que los hablantes nativos y no nativos forman sus actitudes hacia el lenguaje y su proceso de aprendizaje.This qualitative research study aims to analyze the contents included in two English textbooks used by two Colombian universities in regards to the native and non-native speaker and the way they are portrayed in discursive terms, in the listening exercises proposed by the textbooks. Besides, it explains the tensions implicit in the native and non-native dichotomy, and the implications that the supremacy given to the use of the native speaker myth could bring when it is immerse in ELT materials.
