Parsons Delgado, Astrid XimenaPava Díaz, Carolayn Lizeth2025-03-172025-03-172024-11-29http://hdl.handle.net/11349/93750A cuatro años de haber empezado la pandemia del COVID-19, en Colombia se empiezan a cumplir los tiempos estipulados para dar inicio a las exhumaciones de los restos que fueron inhumados debido a la demanda que sobrepasó la capacidad de los hornos crematorios en el país y para este caso, en Bogotá, sin embargo las condiciones en la que estos cadáveres fueron inhumados no permiten un protocolo de exhumación como el ya establecido en la normatividad, por lo tanto se vio la necesidad de realizar esta investigación considerando elementos como: la acumulación de gases y lixiviados, los elementos de protección personal requerido, el reconocimiento de cadáveres por parte de las familias y su disposición final. De igual manera, y debido al carácter patrimonial e histórico del Cementerio Central de Bogotá, se consideró cómo la pandemia había logrado voltear la mirada hacia estos espacios y cómo es necesario realizar una gestión de los cementerios en función de su conservación, así como la relación que se puede dar con el manejo del duelo, la resignificación de la muerte y la necesaria formación y capacitación a toda la comunidad sobre los riesgos y el estado de estos cuerpos en aras de llevar a un mejor término estos duelos. Se consolida entonces, en el presente documento, una propuesta integral, que no pretende reemplazar los protocolos oficiales a los que haya lugar, sino, ser una herramienta que permita desarrollarlos y llevar a cabo este procedimiento de la manera más eficaz posible mitigando los riesgos existentes.Four years after the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, in Colombia the stipulated times are beginning to be fulfilled to start the exhumations of the remains that were buried due to the demand that exceeded the capacity of the crematoriums in the country and in this case, in Bogotá, however, the conditions in which these corpses were buried do not allow an exhumation protocol as the one already established in the regulations, therefore it was necessary to carry out this research considering elements such as: the accumulation of gases and leachates, the required personal protection elements, the recognition of corpses by the families and their final disposal. Similarly, and due to the patrimonial and historical character of the Central Cemetery of Bogota, it was considered how the pandemic had managed to turn the gaze towards these spaces and how it is necessary to manage the cemeteries in terms of their conservation, as well as the relationship that can be given with the management of mourning, the resignification of death and the necessary education and training to the whole community about the risks and the state of these bodies in order to carry these mourning to a better end.
