Desde un abordaje conceptual, teórico y metodológico consolidado en los últimos años en las ciencias humanas, sociales y naturales, esta investigación constituye una apuesta profesional significativa, en el sentido en que esta direccionada principalmente a entender y reflexionar sobre las distintas concepciones de participación, desarrollo y planificación que se han materializado en la práctica y los posibles escenarios alternativos de toma de decisión y acción que se pueden consolidar en pro del bienestar comunitario y ambiental en un municipio como Puente Nacional en el departamento de Santander.One of the main motivations for the accomplishment of this research work has to do with the study of the challenges and advances related to the participation of the community in the approach of the environmental development policies. From the conceptual, theoretical and methodological field, this research constitutes a significant professional bet for the area of human, social and natural sciences. This is because the research is oriented to understand the different practical forms of participation, development and planning of environmental policies.
