Todo hacendado o criador de ganados presentará al alcalde del distrito en que tenga sus crías dentro del término de dos meses después de publicado este decreto, el fierro o fierros quemadores de que usé para marcar y vender sus ganados; e igualmente una razón de la parte del cuerpo en que los herra y contraherra, y la señal de que usa para las reses del vacuno y lanar. Artículo 2º. Los que no cumplieren con las disposiciones del artículo anterior dentro del término prefijado, incurrirán en la multa de cuatro pesos.
