Así mismo emerge con el propósito de fortalecer las competencias del lenguaje (lectura y escritura) a través de la creación y realización de Olimpiadas del Lenguaje. Con la ayuda de diferentes posturas teóricas y referentes conceptuales se buscó generar una propuesta innovadora que contribuyera al aprendizaje de la lengua materna en dos de sus rasgos principales, la lectura y la escritura. Se pretendió también que el proyecto fuera significativo para los niños y niñas durante su elaboración y aplicación. Estos objetivos se alcanzaron con la ayuda de las docentes titulares y los estudiantes de estos dos grados, que permitieron y aceptaron de manera positiva nuestra participación a lo largo de nueve meses en el lugar enunciado.The present work arises from a pedagogical investigation carried out at the Manuela Beltrán Business Technical College, B.
