Para el cálculo de la rugosidad existen muchos métodos empíricos que generalmente son aplicables solo a un intervalo limitado de condiciones geométricas, geomecánicas del lecho e hidráulicas del río en estudio y que dependen de la experiencia del consultor o investigador. Se usa el método de los dos puntos en el Río Negro ubicado en el departamento de Cundinamarca - Colombia, los resultados se comparan con un método empírico, además se estima la altura de rugosidad del lecho que permita establecer que el Río Negro es macro-rugoso con flujo uniforme.Estimating the Manning Roughness coefficient with low uncertainty is of vital importance in any hydraulic study, mainly in natural open channel flows. For the calculation of the roughness there are many empirical methods that are generally applicable only to a limited range of geometrical, geomechanical conditions of the bed and hydraulics of the river under study and that depend on the experience of the consultant or researcher.
