A través de una serie de entrevistas llevadas a cabo con habitantes del municipio que vivieron durante el periodo estudiado, (1948-1953), se logró aplicar la violencia nuclear como instrumento interpretativo de este fenómeno político que azotó la región. Previo a esta momento de la investigación se elaboró el concepto de violencia nuclear tomando como soporte una gran cantidad de teorías y categorías analíticas desde la antropología hasta la ciencia política, pasando por la historia entre otras. Se puede definir como un concepto en construcción, sujeto a múltiples reparos teóricos, pero con la firma intención de aunar esfuerzos en la comprensión de la violencia política en el país.Research carried out in the municipality of Yacopí Cundinamarca through which the concept of nuclear violence was applied as an interpretive instrument of the phenomenon of political violence of the 1950s in this region. Through a series of interviews carried out with residents of the municipality who lived during the period studied (1948-1953), it was possible to apply nuclear violence as an interpretative instrument of this political phenomenon that hit the region. Before this moment of the investigation the concept of nuclear violence was elaborated taking as support a great number of theories and analytical categories from the anthropology to the political science, passing through the history among others.
