A través de una investigación de tipo cualitativo y del uso de formularios y entrevistas estructuradas como instrumentos de investigación, se presenta la identificación de dos grupos en las investigaciones sobre la convivencia escolar; los estudios de la violencia y los estudios que se enfocan en la convivencia. Sobre los primeros se enuncian representaciones, la exclusión, falta de valores, el género, la ofensa o crítica, las burlas y las relaciones de poder en los jóvenes. En el caso de las investigaciones sobre representaciones en convivencia se encontró una variedad en los sujetos de investigación, ya que se identificaron docentes, estudiantes y padres, madres o acudientes, encontrando una diferencia entre ellos. Con referencia a las representaciones sobre convivencia, en el caso del docente, están enmarcadas en el papel y experiencia del docente en su rol trasformador y el buen trato, la sana convivencia, las normas y el conflicto desde lo positivo. En el caso de los estudiantes, estas coinciden en la norma como la principal representación. Y en el caso de los padres, la autoridad y disciplina desde la norma, las cuales deben ser ejercidas por el docente.In this work, a documentary tour is presented, as an approach to the state of the art on the social representations of school coexistence from 2016 to 2020 in the Colombian context. Through a qualitative research and the use of forms and structured interviews as research instruments, the identification of two groups in the research on school coexistence is presented; studies of violence and studies that focus on coexistence. About the former, representations of exclusion, lack of values, gender, offense or criticism, teasing and power relations in young people are stated. In the case of research on representations in coexistence, a variety was found in the research subjects, since teachers, students and fathers, mothers or guardians were identified, finding a difference between them. With reference to the representations about coexistence, in the case of the teacher they are framed in the role and experience of the teacher in his transforming role and good treatment, healthy coexistence, norms and conflict from the positive. In the case of students, these coincide in the norm as the main representation.
