La Facultad cuenta con jornada diurna, nocturna y fines de semana por lo que es importante para la Universidad tener un control de las personas que ingresan a la institución, este control depende actualmente del personal de seguridad contratado por la Universidad y del sistema de carnetización que se debe realizar obligatoriamente para tener acceso a las instalaciones de la Facultad Tecnológica y de otras facultades, Por lo tanto se identifica que, al depender el ingreso y la salida del cuerpo institucional a la Facultad por percepción humana, no existe precisión en la identificación de las personas y en algunos casos tampoco existe interés en que realmente ingresen las personas que tienen el acceso. Por lo anterior, el prototipo de sistema telemático de control de acceso con reconocimiento facial planeado permitirá aportar a la problemática planteada del control de acceso a esta facultad.The Francisco José de Caldas District University in its Technological Faculty is an educational institution which receives high demand from people, both students and teaching and administrative staff.
