El problema social que supone las interpretaciones del texto limita su uso a una consulta enciclopédica y le resta valor práctico cuando no se adquieren las competencias y las habilidades sociales que el estudiante de la educación media en Colombia debe adquirir. En esta búsqueda se han escuchado todas las voces que hacen parte del proceso, desde su planeación y elaboración editorial hasta el estudiante como usuario final, pasando por la mediación docente. Los resultados permiten evidenciar que, en efecto, esta ruptura existe y desvirtúa la intención del texto como coadyuvante en el proceso de formación social del estudiante.The present research aims to make a discursive analysis to approach the processes of interpretation of school textbooks of social sciences, In the context of secondary education in Colombia, with the purpose of identifying the discrepancies between the methodological and conceptual proposal of the creator of the text, And the interpretations that students can make of it. The social problem implied by interpretations of the text limits its use to an encyclopedic consultation and detracts from practical value when the skills and social skills that the student of the secondary education in Colombia is acquired are not acquired.
