Schlenker, Alex2019-09-192019-09-19http://hdl.handle.net/11349/18787ResumenEste artículo sistematiza una serie de reflexiones y gestos estéticos surgidos en el marco del proyecto Turbantes, una aproximación transdisciplinar a la dimensión cultural/estética/política de la fiesta del Viernes Santo de Alangasí (Ecuador) a la que asistí durante consecutivamente entre 2010 y 2015. Se trata de una celebración que desarrolla, desde sus respectivas especificidades (geográficas/de territorio, sociales y culturales), determinadas estrategias de articulación entre lo religioso/espiritual, lo comunitario, la autoridad religiosa/política, entre otras. Como artista visual e investigador, situado simultáneamente en la práctica artística/cinematográfica y la academia, desarrollé una metodología combinada, útil para revisar la relación arte-cultura. Esto desde la idea de unos estudios artísticos como campo crítico que problematice el mismo concepto de cultura desplegado por la Modernidad-colonialidad, proponiendo rutas de investigación desde el quehacer artístico. This article systematizes a series of reflections and aesthetic gestures arising under the project Turbantes, a transdisciplinary approach to the cultural / aesthetic / political  dimensions of the celebration of Good Friday of Alangasí (Ecuador), which I attended from 2010 to 2015. This is a celebration that develops from its specificities (geographical / territorial, social and cultural), certain strategies of articulation between the religious and the spiritual, the communal, and religious / political authority, among others. As a visual artist and researcher, situated simultaneously in the practice of art / film and in academia, I developed a combined methodology, useful to review the relationship between art and culture.
