En donde, se analiza como los medios de comunicación en Colombia construyen, significan y re-significan unas representaciones sociales (RS) y un discurso sobre el maestro. Todo esto, teniendo como punto de referencia un rastreo de noticias publicadas en el periódico El Tiempo, en los años 2016 y 2017 (Inicia el 1ro de enero del 2016 y finaliza el 15 de octubre del 2017). El cual se realizó inicialmente con un análisis cuantitativo que presentó las recurrencias de dichas publicaciones en lo que se refiere al maestro. Con este material, se propone presentar desde el Análisis crítico del discurso (ACD) en el cuerpo de las noticias aquellas expresiones y referencias a los profesores como un gestor cultural, movilizador social y como agentes educativos. Con el fin de dar respuesta a la pregunta ¿cuál es la representación social que se construye de los maestros y de su labor en Colombia?This paper presents a qualitative research. In which, it´s analyzed how the media in Colombia construct, signify and re-signify social representations and a speech about the teachers. All this, having as a reference point a tracking of the news that were published in the El Tiempo newspaper, in 2016 and 2017 (Since January 1st of 2016 until October 15th of 2017). The analysis was done initially in a quantitative way that showed the recurrences of the publications regarding to the teachers. With this material, the propose its to present from a Critical speech analysis in the body of the news those expressions and references to the teachers as a cultural agent, social mobilizer and as educative agents.
