Para la elaboración de un levantamiento topográfico se utiliza un equipo especializado para la toma de datos, como es estación total, trípode, bastón, prisma, plomada. La realización de proyectos topográficos es importante para la actualización de datos catastrales, puntos de posicionamiento para futuros proyectos de mejora, construcción y remodelación de vías y obras civiles. La ocupación de terrenos dentro y fuera de la ciudad de Bogotá D.C., es un problema que ha estado aumentando con el pasar de los años, esta actividad la realizan las personas de escasos recursos, en su mayoría de las zonas rurales, los cuales son desplazados por la guerra, por buscar nuevas oportunidades laborales, etc., razón por la cual deciden conformar asentamientos ilegales de tipo subnormal sin la planeación urbana necesaria. Para las diferentes entidades públicas es muy importante el plano topográfico a la hora de iniciar algún proceso referente al tema de obras ya que en él se fundamenta la parte legal ante las autoridades correspondientes.This document is made at the request of the Community Action Board of the neighborhood Villas del Diamante in Suba locality, towards the District University to carry out the survey of the neighborhood.
