En primer lugar, se estudian los conceptos fundamentales de la teoría cualitativa para el análisis de sistemas dinámicos no lineales, incluyendo los teoremas de Hartman-Grobman, Lyapunov y el criterio de Bendixon. Posteriormente, estos elementos teóricos se aplican al análisis del modelo de Fitzhugh-Nagumo. Se presta especial atención al análisis local del sistema, el cual está representado por el siguiente conjunto de ecuaciones: x' = y + x - x³/3 + I e y' = -x + a - by donde x' y y' denotan las derivadas temporales de x e y respectivamente, a, b e I son parámetros reales (Murray, 2002). Se logra identificar una variedad de comportamientos distintos, que abarcan desde puntos hiperbólicos y no hiperbólicos, hasta espirales, nodos, sillas y ciclos.The present work is divided into two parts. First, it examines the fundamental concepts of qualitative theory for analyzing nonlinear dynamic systems, including the theorems of Hartman-Grobman, Lyapunov, and the Bendixon's criterion. Subsequently, these theoretical elements are applied to the analysis of the Fitzhugh-Nagumo model. Special attention is given to the local analysis of the system, represented by the following set of equations: x' = y + x - x³/3 + I and y' = -x + a - by where x' and y' denote the temporal derivatives of x and y respectively, a, b, and I are real parameters (Murray, 2002).
