Los concurrentes, entre quienes estaban el vicepresidente de la República, el intendente del departamento tres rejidores diputados por la municipalidad, y el canónigo dr. José Maria Esteves como mesenas, quedaron muy complacidos de la distribucion de los niños y celo del preceptor. Allí mismo se distribuyeron algunos premios, y se notó con sorpresa que un niño de cuatro o cinco años hijo de un artesano, respondio con viveza varias preguntas sobre los derechos del hombre.
