Los procesos geomorfológicos, el movimiento y la acción de agua y, consecuentemente, los numerosos procesos biológicos condicionados por ellos se encuentran estrechamente asociados a la forma y altitud de la superficie del terreno en los que se desarrollan o se encuentran (A. Felicísimo, 1994). De acuerdo con esto, el presente trabajo realizado por la empresa CIGmap S.A.S, mediante el proyecto “Levantamiento fotogramétrico e hidro-topográfico del Tramo Castilla sobre el río Guayuriba.”, tiene como objetivo la generación del modelo digital del terreno, el modelo digital de superficie junto con la cartografía detallada y la ortofoto del área de estudio, por otro lado, se buscó hacer el estudio de la dinámica fluvial del mencionado tramo sobre el río Guayuriba, para ello se realizó muestreo de aforos líquidos y sólidos del rio en dicho tramo.Topography has a notable influence on variables that intervene in the dynamics of ecosystems.
