Es así como Colombia ha estado marcada por etapas en la que grupos al margen de la ley se han desplegado por todo el territorio, aplicando diversos mecanismos de control que afectan la vida de los colombianos (CENTRO NACIONAL DE MEMORIA HISTÓRICA, 2012). El enfoque de genero, es una categoría de análisis que permite comprender e identificar las diferencias históricas emergentes entre hombres y mujeres.
