Durante la pasantía se desarrollaron acciones orientadas al fortalecimiento del Sistema de Gestión Basura Cero, tales como jornadas de sensibilización, capacitaciones, actividades de reciclaje y estrategias de promoción de la economía circular. Los resultados evidenciaron una mejora significativa en la gestión de residuos, alcanzando una tasa de reciclaje real del 83%, superando el mínimo exigido por la norma, y consolidando una cultura ambiental institucional basada en la correcta separación en la fuente y la disposición responsable de residuos. El estudio resalta la importancia del Programa de Vigías Ambientales como una herramienta pedagógica que fomenta la sostenibilidad y la corresponsabilidad ambiental en el ámbito institucional.This thesis analyzes the impact of the Environmental Monitors Program on the recertification process of the Central Level of the Administrative Department for Social Prosperity under the International Zero Waste Standard V5. During the internship, actions aimed at strengthening the Zero Waste Management System were developed, such as awareness-raising sessions, training sessions, recycling activities, and strategies to promote the circular economy. The results showed a significant improvement in waste management, achieving an actual recycling rate of 83%, exceeding the minimum required by the standard, and consolidating an institutional environmental culture based on proper source separation and responsible waste disposal.
