La Ingeniería Sanitaria tiene un gran impacto en el desarrollo físico, social y económico de los municipios y va de la mano con el Plan de Ordenamiento Territorial, que es el instrumento técnico y normativo de planeación y gestión que orienta el progreso del territorio regulando la utilización, ocupación y transformación del espacio físico urbano y rural (Ministerio de Ambiente, 2004).Through the inter-institutional support agreement signed between the Guasca Municipal Mayor's Office and the Francisco José de Caldas District University, the internship was developed at the Planning Advisory Office; with the purpose of applying the knowledge obtained in the academy and in turn acquire aptitudes and skills that allow good professional and work development in the future.
