El análisis del material particulado retenido por la superficie foliar de las especies presentes en las zonas de alta contaminación posibilitó inferir el grado de contaminación atmosférica en las áreas de estudio, la relación con las concentraciones reportadas por las estaciones de la RMCAB, la influencia de variables climáticas como la velocidad del viento, la precipitación y la capacidad de retención de material particulado de las especies muestreadas.Atmospheric pollution in the urban environment is today one of the main environmental problems that channel the interest of the national and international institutions responsible for protecting the environment, as well as the world scientific community.
