El estudio previo de este espécimen nos permitió enfocarnos en la búsqueda de los Flavonoides, responsables de las actividades antioxidantes de varias especies. El fraccionamiento de los extractos también se realizó por método Soxhlet y empleando técnicas cromatográficas con solventes de polaridad creciente. La investigación se direccionó evaluando cada extracto, y fracción determinando en cuales de estas se encontraban las mayores actividades biológicas objeto de estudio de este documento, seleccionando las que superaron los umbrales del 50% tanto en actividad antioxidante como en viabilidad celular.Since vegetal matherial colected in Guasca´s zone and preliminary identified in-situ and later by the National Herbarium of the Natural Science Institute of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, will grown flowers and leaves and was obtained the extracts by Soxhlet method.
