Actualmente está conformada por siete barrios, de los cuales unos pertenecen a la zona central y otros 4Egipto, Belén, Santa Bárbara y parte de centro administrativo4 se ubican en la periferia. Estos últimos destacan por su riqueza histórica y por ser territorios de resistencia frente a procesos de gentrificación que amenazan su identidad. En este contexto, surge la iniciativa de crear un archivo comunitario que recopile y preserve las historias, memorias y prácticas socioculturales que han marcado la trayectoria de estos barrios. El objetivo es visibilizar las expresiones colectivas que fortalecen el tejido social, promoviendo el reconocimiento de las dinámicas locales y la protección del patrimonio intangible. Este archivo busca ser una herramienta de memoria viva y participativa, construida desde y para las comunidades, como forma de resistencia cultural y afirmación territorial.La Candelaria is a town weld known for its strong cultural focus and considered the heart of Bogotá9s Historic Center.
