En este sentido, se realiza un trabajo de sistematización de las técnicas y formas de ejecución evidenciadas en los últimos años por intérpretes que han sido esenciales para que el cuatro tenga un papel de protagonismo e incursión en otras músicas. A lo largo de la descripción musical y la transcripción de piezas de diferentes estilos: acompañante y solista, se evidencia el uso de diferentes componentes técnicos; donde se señalan múltiples posibilidades tímbricas, sonoras e interpretativas del cuatro en tres géneros musicales: Bambuco, Onda Nueva y Joropo.This work refers to the description of different stylistic forms and interpretative resources of the cuatro, developed thanks to the steady evolution that it is has had, influenced by the cultural context where it is surrounded by. In this, a systematization work of the techniques and execution forms evidenced in the last years is done, through the work of performers who have been essential for the cuatro to have a leading role and incursion into other musics.
