Este instrumento con menos relevancia poco explorado y explotado musicalmente en la familia de las cuerdas aparece en el mapa musical convirtiéndose paulatinamente en un gran protagonista gracias a su sonoridad oscura y profunda. El concierto en D mayor para viola y orquesta de Carl Stamitz, es la oportunidad donde este instrumento puede hablar y encontrar un lugar importante dentro de la escena musical, conectando con sonoridades tan propias que le permiten brillar naturalmente. Es así que, por medio de este escrito, se pretende conocer y describir los elementos técnicos e históricos de la obra mencionada anteriormente, acercando a los músicos en general, especialmente violistas, a un conocimiento más consciente del estudio e interpretación esta pieza, por medio de un análisis armónico y formal de los tres movimientos del concierto. Como producto final, se propone realizar una muestra involucrando las decisiones interpretativas que se plasman en este documento.Like Universal History, music has been transforming and evolving over the years. These changes have brought with them innovations and a deeper knowledge of the instruments. The viola, an inconspicuous instrument in the string family and even undervalued appears on the musical map gradually becoming a great protagonist thanks to its dark and great depth sound. The concerto in D major for viola and orchestra by Carl Stamitz is the opportunity where this instrument is able to speak and find an important role within the musical scene connecting with its own sounds that allow them to shine naturally. Based on this, through this writing it is intended to be made known and describe the technical and historical elements of this musical piece bringing musicians in general (especially violists) to a deeply knowledge of the study and interpretation of the musical piece throughout a formal and harmonic analysis of the three sections of the concerto.
