El manual virtual de especificaciones técnicas de construcción de edificaciones para el mejoramiento de vivienda, está compuesto por descripciones escritas y visuales de los procesos constructivos, materiales y equipos que se emplean en el desarrollo de la construcción de vivienda popular y que están sustentadas por las normas técnicas que rigen la construcción en Colombia. Así mismo se especifica y se da a conocer la importancia de contar con este manual dentro del campo de la Ingeniera, ya que es primordial controlar y asegurar un buen desarrollo laboral y constructivo, de tal manera que se le pueda ofrecer una vivienda digna y duradera a una comunidad de bajos recursos. Por otro lado, en el desarrollo de conocimiento en el área de programas como SketchUP se elaboraron imágenes realizadas para el desarrollo y presentación visual de ciertos procesos constructivos que permiten al lector entender de una manera más fácil la información que se quiere dar a conocer.
