Una casa en el aire

Abstract

The late arrival of modernity, globalization and capitalism within the so-called Third World; establishes dynamics within the models of contemporary architecture, with the phenomenon of housing blocks, which go hand in hand with the discourse of development and progress, which is imposed on societies, in order to design "realities", but without having take into account very well the social and cultural factors that they go through. The importance of this project revolves around the need to make visible the current panorama of urban borders from a particular case with the town of Bosa: its projection, development and implementation within the city. This space reflects very marked social tensions that are sheltered from what is called cordons of misery in Bogotá, and that are part of a duality between territorial institutional policies and the daily life of the population and its incidence in this place. On the other hand, from my position as an artist and as a subject, it is significant to address this issue, because it is a way of finding the relationship between the context that surrounds me and my construction as an individual.
