Resumen
The radio program “Voces y Regiones”, produced by the Ministry of the Interior in collaboration with La U Estéreo 90.4 FM, explored the impact of women leaders in La Guajira. The main interview was with Isabel Davila, a prominent community leader in the region, who spoke about the challenges, advances and cultural customs of the Guajira communities.
Davila shared her experience as a women's advocate and her role in integrating cultural practices into leadership and social development processes. Among the topics discussed were changes in access to employment, educational opportunities, the role of women as heads of households and their increasing participation in public office.
The program also highlighted the unique characteristics of La Guajira, including its gastronomy, culture and the social problems it faces, such as insecurity and economic difficulties. Through this interview, the commitment of Guajira's women to the transformation of their territory was highlighted.
