Resumen
The aim is to question the stability of the watch as a protagonic object in the system of temporary regulation proper to industrial societies, and, also the distinctive linearity of this cultural conception that imposes itself as the only and invariable temporal perspective. The stability of the metric device is questioned when altering the material of its invoice (solar clock on ice), this clock will be a clock that becomes in time, transforms and is not subjected to a unique shape. In the same way that the clock becomes and disappears with time, the temporary administrative form of consumer societies is not stable either, its ideological totalitarianism is questioned, and thus one enter into a doubt about its objectivity and universality. The tempo of work alienates human beings from their organic nature, it becomes a time of interchangeable economic value for subsistence, a time that can be bought and, also invested, and that is no longer a reflection of the natural time of planetary cycles.
