Resumen
The image contains a notice about the Fourth Centenary of the discovery of America in which it is exposed that taking into consideration that on October 12th it will be 400 years since the American Continent was born to the life of Christianity and Civilization, there is the need to recall in the memory of the people this event and the name of the modern apostle, son of the humble carder Domingo Colon, whom Providence used to verify such event, providing him, with more than enough, of heroic integrity and constancy. Therefore it is resolved to excite the patriotism of the inhabitants of the town so that on the night of the 11th they illuminate the doors, windows and balconies of their dwellings facing the public streets, and on the 12th adorn them with festoons and flags as a sign of rejoicing and as an attribute of gratitude to the genius, of the 15th century, who was called Christopher Columbus.
