Resumen
This project explores new artistic practices rooted in analog technologies and visual experimentation. Through the lens of the collective “Juegos Translúcidos,” the author investigates movement, animation, and viewer participation using obsolete tools and materials such as overhead projectors, cut-outs, and sand. Drawing from historical optical devices (e.g., zoetropes, magic lanterns) and referencing influential artists like Muybridge, Marey, and Reiniger, the project examines how mechanical illusions, shadow play, and light transform perception and engage spectators in active and imaginative experiences.
By relocating artistic expression to urban and non-traditional public spaces, the work challenges conventional exhibition formats and emphasizes relational aesthetics. It highlights the intersection of visual arts with disciplines like film, performance, and architecture, fostering dynamic interactions between art, space, and community. Ultimately, the project positions analog artistic tools as means for sensory stimulation, collective storytelling, and spatial transformation in contemporary visual culture.
