Diseño de una red de acceso óptica de larga distancia y alta capacidad en Cundinamarca

Abstract

Nowadays the optical fibers networks are in the process of implementation around the world, this networks have many advantages like better coverage and higher transmission velocity of information than the others, however the long reach optical networks are still under studies, due to the increase of the distances we must consider limiting factors like attenuation or dispersion of the signal that degrade the network performance. In this thesis,I proposed the design of a long reach optical network with a PON approach and multichannel capacities, which is configurable through the optical switches and arrayed waveguides gratings (AWG). We do the estimates, design of distribution nodes and finally the optical system is simulated to deteminate the viability of the network.
