In this edition of Crew, participants Nicolás, Juan Diego, Laura, and Ana María explore the fascinating world of libraries, highlighting their importance as spaces for knowledge, leisure, and encounter. The program features guest librarian Robinson Arellano, who explains library science, the differences between librarians and librarians, and the evolution of libraries from ancient Alexandria to modern systems in Medellín. The program emphasizes the role of libraries as inclusive places where all people can access information, culture, and technology, demystifying the idea that they are only for silent reading. It also highlights how reading and libraries contribute to peacebuilding by fostering dialogue and understanding between diverse perspectives, culminating in the idea that an ideal library is one that transcends books and becomes a dynamic community center.
