| dc.description | The concept of what is “traditional” is opportunely constituted by common sense at the musical system environment of the Pelayeras bands in the Colombian Caribbean. Through an analysis of the social imaginary created by the actors around the concept of “traditional”, we present a characterization of the ways individuals from San Pelayo understand it and use it in their speech, to finally state the idea that the multi-speech concept is a visible sample of the objective that defines its existence: creating and maintaining social relations. | en-US |
| dc.description | El concepto de “lo tradicional” se constituye gracias a una suerte de sentido común en el entorno del sistema musical de las bandas pelayeras, en el Caribe colombiano. A través del análisis de los imaginarios sociales que se conforman alrededor de este concepto, los cuales se observan como producto de los procesos de memoria del grupo, propongo una caracterización de las maneras en las que la gente de San Pelayo entiende y usa “lo tradicional” en sus discursos, para finalmente plantear que la multivocidad es muestra del principal interés que envuelve su existencia: la de crear y mantener vínculos sociales. | es-ES |
