Abstract

Nowadays, methods and studies have been developed that mitigate the growth of road accidents that go hand in hand with the exponential growth of the park of automotive, especially light vehicles and motorcycles. The audits in road safety are a public health tool that allows to implement improvements to a operating system or a projection system in this case related to the road infrastructure identifying unsafe points. Nowadays, methodologies and studies have been developed that mitigate the growth of road accidents that go hand in hand with the exponential growth of the vehicle fleet, especially light vehicles and motorcycles. The audits in road safety are a public health tool that allows to implement improvements to a functional system or projection in this case related to the road infrastructure identifying unsafe points. In the present degree project a formal evaluation of the road safety audit is established to the section that includes the 50th career between 21st and 24th Street BIS, section that has several years of service and is of vital importance for the development of urban mobility in the city of Bogotá. DC, at the time it was designed, did not have the criteria that currently support road safety, in addition to changes in traffic volumes, therefore, in this document it establishes the problems found in the study section and same. In this way, solutions are generated to drastically reduce the risk faced by users of this important route on a daily basis.
