Resumen
The image contains a news story about a display of ingenuity in the parish of N., where, when excavating the sacristy to bury the late Carr, problems arose about what to do with the extracted earth. After convening the Municipal Council and notables of the place, it was proposed to open an additional hole in the sacristy and throw the earth there. However, this solution led to the opening of more holes, causing the destruction of homes.
The text compares this situation with the decisions of the current Ministry of Finance, mentioning the placement of electric lights in the squares of Bolívar and Santander. The removal of floodlights on some streets to illuminate parks is criticized, suggesting that government decisions can sometimes seem illogical. Railway construction, matches, and cigarettes are referred to as examples of decisions that, although they may not be understood by everyone, supposedly contribute to "public happiness." It concludes by pointing out the disappearance of an electric light bulb at a specific street intersection as evidence of these decisions.
