Resumen
Encajonados presents the bargueño desk (escritoire, litter bin – box, accountant furniture, cabinet closet, arquilla – litter bin, bufetillo or writing desk) as a container that keeps inside its compartments, the objects and spaces that have been witness of the change of the habitat within the working class neighborhood household across the transit between the traditional way of thinking and the modern thought. From the experience lived inside the apartment, I’ve been able to notice some spatial dynamics that speaks of the modern household construction that look after the ideals of progress constantly reproduced by the surrounding capitalist system. Opposed to what I was able to live in my childhood home, I try to acknowledge the factors that were involved in this change to notice the subject and the strategies of cultural appropriation that it used to assume the global architectural trends. Starting with the change of dynamics in the traditional household, to the acceptance of the industrial produced merchandise for the interior design in the neighborhood blocks.
