The image presents a news about:" sanitary engineering has as its object the improvement of the living conditions of the peoples, the sanitation of the lands adaptable for an intensive agriculture and thus to satisfy the more just aspirations of man, procuring innocent and natural pleasures such as the pleasure produced by gardens and parks [. . ] thus it is proposed to change the unhygienic conditions of the air, water and soil, so as to remove the germs to which they may contain by mechanical means and above all to prevent diseases that are then difficult to combat if they enter the organism[. . ] the sanitary engineering works on the environment and tries to supply to the beings places of easy adaptation for the enjoyment and the tasks of the life". La imagen presenta una noticia acerca de:" la ingeniería sanitaria tiene por mira el mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida de los pueblos, el saneamiento de los terrenos adaptables para una agricultura intensiva y satisfacer así las aspiraciones más justas del hombre, procurándole placeres inocentes y naturales como el placer que producen los jardines y parques [. . .] así se propone cambiar las condiciones antihigiénicas del aire, el agua y el suelo, así alejar los gérmenes a los que puedan contener por medios mecánicos y sobre todo prevenir males que luego es dificil combatir si llegan a penetrar en el organismo[. . .] la ingeniería sanitaria obra sobre el medio ambiente y trata de suministrar a los seres lugares de fácil adaptación para el goce y las faenas de la vida".
