| dc.description.abstract | Time and frequency transfer using GNSS is essential for ensuring synchronization and temporal traceability in scientific, industrial, and telecommunications applications. However, specialized commercial systems may involve high acquisition and implementation costs. This work presents the development of a low-cost prototype for comparing atomic oscillator signals using the satellite-based Common-View technique. The system integrates a GNSS receiver, an external reference provided by a cesium atomic oscillator, and software tools for data acquisition and processing. The prototype enables the acquisition of GNSS observations, their conversion into RINEX formats, the application of time corrections, and the generation of CGGTTS files used in international time comparisons. The prototype was validated against a reference system developed by NIST, with both systems connected to UTC(INM). The results demonstrate the technical feasibility of implementing GNSS time-transfer systems using low-cost receivers, strengthening metrological and research capabilities in time and frequency. | |
