Resumen
This image contains news about fulfilling their sacred and essential duty of preserving and maintaining inviolable the deposit of faith that divine providence has entrusted to them, the author highlights the responsibility of the ministers of religion. He mentions that the bill on freedom of religion, published in the newspaper "El Pueblo Católico", has caused outrage in a nation as religious as Granada. This project is seen as an attempt to equate the Catholic faith with heterodox sects, which is considered an intolerable attack for any Catholic, who cannot remain silent in the face of such a threat, and that as ministers of worship they have the duty to defend the religion. They commit to fighting with fervor and to use the divine word to confront those who attack the faith. Its intention is to keep the sacred deposit firm and protect the glories of the country, thus avoiding the evils that threaten the people. Finally, the author proposes to examine the question of freedom of religion from both a political and moral point of view, to provide a clear testimony of his faith and fulfill his duties.
News published in the loose leaf newspaper, No. 469, April 15, 1834.
