Abstract

In this episode of Voces y Regiones, led by the Ministry of the Interior and broadcast by the Francisco José de Caldas University radio station, Rosa Olivella, a community leader from La Guajira, was interviewed. Rosa shared her experience as a leader supporting single mothers, especially those affected by armed conflict. She spoke about the impact of violence on her personal life, the loss of family members, and how this motivated her to organize and work for human rights and the empowerment of these women. The interview also covered the activities of her organization, such as projects for supporting women and children, and efforts toward achieving peace in her region. Additionally, she highlighted the support received from the Ministry of the Interior and international organizations for training and strengthening human rights in the area.
